Aruba North Little League from Oranjestad, Aruba, earned the fourth berth in the 2011 Little League Baseball World Series by winning the Caribbean Region Tournament today. The newest region champion was a 4-2 winner over Elrod Hendricks West Little League from St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, in the championship game.
SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (July 16, 2011) ? For the first time in the 65-year history of the Little League Baseball World Series, a team from Africa will be in the field. Rev. John Foundation Little League from Kampala, Uganda, won the Middle East and Africa Region Tournament today with a 6-4 victory over 17-time World Series qualifier since 1991, Arabian American Little League from Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
